Overview
The Village Board approved an Independent Contractor Agreement with Nafisco, Inc. on June 20, 2023 to provide for the fabrication and installation of updated parking signage on various streets throughout the Village. The proposed Amendment to the Agreement provides for the installation of additional parking signage at various locations. The signs are already fabricated and therefore the scope of services outlined in the change order only includes the fabrication of all posts and other necessary parts as well as the labor for the installation.

Background
On May 5, 2023, the Village launched ParkOakPark. ParkOakPark or "P.O.P." is a mobile application that centralizes various parking services, including mobile pay-by-license plate parking, permit and vehicle license sales, and parking citation payment and management. The app, powered by Passport Parking, can be downloaded from the AppStore, Google Play, or parkoakpark.org. Signage at all existing pay-by-plate parking locations throughout the community were replaced in 2023 with custom ParkOakPark signage.
The Village is nearing completion of its multi-year effort to convert legacy coin-operated parking meters to pay-by-plate parking, enabling users to pay for parking sessions at a pay station with coin or credit/debit card or via their smartphone.
