The Water and Sewer Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the water distribution and sewer collection systems in the Village. The department annually seeks competitive bids for stone & sand materials.

Background
Three vendors provided material price bids for 2025. The materials are purchased from the lowest cost qualified vendor based on the availability and quality of the material. Staff is bringing forward agreements with vendors that exceed $50,000.00, the Village Manager's spending authority.
G & M Trucking, Inc., has provided competitive pricing for these materials. All 2025 bids have seen an increase for these materials.
Fiscal Impact
The proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Water and Sewer Fund Budget allocates funds for stone & sand materials for roadway maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection systems in the Roadway Maintenance account, numbers 5040-43730-777-560633 ($46,500.00) and 5040-43750-781-560633 ($46,500.00).
Based on the bid summary and the estimate of materials needed, staff anticipates spending up to an amount of $73,000.00 of the total $90,000.00 with G & M Trucking, Inc.
