Overview
The Public Works Center Locker Rooms have lockers salvaged from the previous Public Works building after a fire in 2004 that was installed in the new Public Works Center in 2007. The lockers are in poor condition and are in need of replacement. Two new Energy Star rated washing machines and electric dryers are also needed in the men's locker room as part of this project to support a transition away from poor quality and expensive laundry service for staff uniforms.

Background
The existing lockers in the men's and women's locker rooms at the Public Works Center were salvaged from the previous Public Works building after the fire in 2004 and then installed in the new Public Works Center in 2007. The lockers are approximately forty years old, are in poor condition, and do not provide secure and adequate space for staff's belongings. The base bid for this project includes the furnishing and installation of 55 new lockers (50 in the men's locker room and 5 in the women's locker room), renovation of two showers in the men's locker room, and installation of two new Energy Star rated clothes washing machines and two new Energy Star rated electric clothes dryers in the men's locker room. The Village no longer provides laundered uniform service for staff and staff is responsible for laundering their own uniforms.
Alternate No. 04 includes the installation of in-line booster fans at each new dryer vent to provide adequate exhaust for the two new dryers. The exhaust would be routed up from the locker room in the lower level to the Flee...
