This allows the Village Manager to enter into an agreement in the event the Police Department and the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council and the Patrol Officers wish to implement an alternative work schedule effective January 7, 2018.

Background
In the past the Village has entered into similar agreements when the Union and Village wish to experiment with alternate work schedules.
Alternatives
The Village Board could seek additional information, however it would be necessary to schedule a special meeting of the Village Board in order to implement the schedule prior to January 7, 2018.
