Introduction

This is a discussion that occurs following each local election for Village Board of Trustees and Village President to review the Village Board protocols. In addition, there will be a presentation on effective governing. The first Village Board Workshop was held on July 29, 2025, to update the Village Board Goals for 2026-2028.

After each election, the Village Board updates their Protocols and Board Goals.
Background
The workshop will be divided into two parts. The first part will be a discussion on effective elected official governance. The Village has engaged Mike Letcher of BridgeGroup LLC to lead a discussion on governance. He is an author and presenter for ICMA (International City Managers' Association). Mr. Letcher is also an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona's Master of Public Administration Program.
The second half will discuss any updates to the Village Board's protocols.
