Background

The Village Board referred this matter to the Plan Commission to hold public hearings as part of the Oak Park Station Planned Development process.   The alleys are on either side of Westgate Street and project into the proposed redevelopment site.  The remaining portions of the alleys will remain as functioning alleyways for the business that abut them.

Deny the two alley vacations. 

 

Previous Board Action

Village Board referral  for public hearings was conducted at their June 15, 2015 meeting.

 

Citizen Advisory Commission Action

The Plan Commission held a public hearing on July 16, 2015 where they recommended approval of the partial alley vacations.

Intergovernmental Cooperation Opportunities

Land use matters are unique to Village government within the corporate limits of Oak Park and therefore, intergovernmental cooperation opportunities do not exist.
