Background
This Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) supports a service priority of the Village of Oak Park related to coordinated youth and community support services and aligns with the Board's goals of advancing equitable access to care, strengthening prevention-based interventions, and building effective intergovernmental partnerships. The current IGA was originally approved by the Village Board in September 2024 for a two-year term and is now approaching expiration.
Since implementation, the Village Neighborhood Services Department has worked in partnership with Oak Park Township to deliver and coordinate services that support youth-focused interventions and crisis response supports. This work has strengthened coordination with Oak Park Township and the E.C.H.O. (Engaging Communities for Healthy Outcomes) initiative, improving alignment across local systems of care and expanding access to behavioral health and youth-serving resources.
