Background

Puree’s seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license for the property located at 1023 Lake Street.  Puree’s has been in business under its present ownership for approximately one year.  Puree’s is a dine-in and carry out restaurant serving hot foods, including chicken wings and fish offerings.  Puree’s has table seating for approximately 45 persons and seeks to provide alcoholic beverage options.

At its special meeting of September 9, 2021, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that Puree’s met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-1 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued.   Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include Puree’s as a B-1 licensee.
