Background
Oak Park Waffles seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-4 liquor license for the property located at 726 Lake Street. Oak Park Waffles will be the newest location of the Chicago Waffles restaurants. Chicago Waffles has been in business since 2011 with two locations in Chicago that offer breakfast and lunch meals in a family-friendly environment. Oak Park Waffles will have seating for approximately 74 to 82 persons.
At its special meeting of November 29, 2021, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that Oak Park Waffles met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-4 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued. Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include Oak Park Waffles as a B-4 licensee.
