Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

In 2018, the Village Board established an informal policy to cap the annual levy increase at 3%. The proposed property tax levy was discussed at the Finance Committee meeting held on July 30, 2025. The proposed property tax levy policy is intended to provide a transparent and structured process for future budget cycles. The Committee considered a draft policy, provided feedback, and the attached policy reflects those Committee recommendations to be presented to the Board for a vote.
