Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Background
VFJ Enterprises II, Inc., DBA Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles ("Chicken & Waffles") has operated a restaurant at 543 Madison Street since December 2010. Chicken & Waffles seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-2 liquor license. Chicken & Waffles currently holds a Restaurant Class B-6 ("BYO") liquor license for the premises and will relinquish that license upon the issuance of the B-2 license. The B-2 license will allow Chicken & Waffles to sell and serve beer and wine products to its customers. At its June 27, 2023 regular meeting, the Liquor Control Board unanimously voted to recommend that the ordinance be adopted granting Chicken & Waffles a B-2 license.
