Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
The Police Department has surplus property consisting of 54 bicycles that is no longer necessary or useful to the Village and, therefore, the continued storage and ownership of the bicycles are no longer in the Village's best interest.

Staff Recommendation
The items set forth in the attachment include 54 bicycles that are in the Police Department's possession.  The attachment also includes items ranging from tools, electronics and jewelry that will be sold/auctioned by PropertyRoom.com.  
 
Fiscal Impact
The proceeds of any sale after deducting the cost of storage, advertising, selling and other expenses incident to the handling or selling of lost, stolen or seized property, shall be paid to the police pension fund of the Village.
 
Background
In accordance with Village policy and state statute, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4, the Village's corporate authorities may, by Ordinance, authorize disposition of property they may designate in order to dispose of surplus property not usable to the Village.  The Village, through the Police Department, submits the items listed in the attachment to be declared as surplus.
