The Ordinance amends Section 3-4-2 of the Village Code to allow Class C-7 liquor licensees to conduct alcoholic liquor tastings or samplings at special events up to four (4) times a year.

Background
The Village's only Specialty Gourment Foods Shop C-7 liquor licensee, Avarom, Inc. DBA Careful Peach Boutique ("Careful Peach") has requested that it be permitted to conduct alcoholic liquor tastings or samplings up to four (4) times a year at special events, including on Bastille Day on July 14, 2015. The Liquor Control Review Board recommended that the Village Board adopt this Ordinance to allow for such tastings or samplings by Class C-7 liquor licensees by a unanimous vote of its members at its meeting on May 27, 2015.

Not adopt the Ordinance.
Previous Board Action
The Village Board adopted an Ordinance to create the Class C-7 liquor license classification at its October 6, 2014 meeting. Pursaunt to that same Ordinance, the Board also approved a Class C-7 license for Careful Peach. The Board amended the classification at its March 16, 2015 meeting to allow Class C-7 licensees to permit the sale of package alcoholic liquors in addition to wine and liqueurs.

The Liquor Control Review Board recommended the Village Board adopt the Ordinance at its May 27, 2015 meeting.
