Overview
Overview
On July 13, 2016 Loyola Occupational Health Services (Loyola) informed the Village that they would no longer provide occupational health services as the hospital system was closing this book of business. On August 1, 2016 the Human Resources Department posted a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Occupational Health. The RFP had one response: U.S. Healthworks Medical Group of Illlinois, P.C. ("U.S. Healthworks").
Body
Staff Recommendation
Approve the Resolution.
Fiscal Impact
The Village Spent $60,157.67 in occupational health services with Loyola between September 2015 and September 2016. Costs were driven by pre-employment physicals for police and fire and return to work examinations. Occupational Health costs are paid through the Risk Management fund. Costs associated with the use of U.S. Healthworks are reasonable and customary for the industry and wil not require any changes to the 2016 or 2017 Risk Management fund.

All found the location, work flow and communication processes to meet their needs.
The group was also impressed with the easier access to the facility and online portal for record management. They also felt the philosophy of the medical staff equally supported the employees' health needs with respect to the Village's need to maintain a worforce that is ready and able to perform the work.
