Background

The last Agreement expired December 31, 2016. This is the successor Agreement.   The general wage increase negotiated in this agreement is 2.5% in 2017, 2.5% in 2018 and 2.5% in 2019.  The contract documents detail the additional changes to the contract.   Overall the Village has nine collective bargaining agreements for the workforce.   The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)  is a related item also negotiated during the term of this agreement related to wages and benefits.  The members of this collective bargaining agreement have ratified this agreement.  This is the final step in which the Village Manager seeks authorization from the Village Board to enter into this agreement.
