Background

The B-5 liquor license classification was created pursuant to Ordinance Number 17-199 on April 17, 2017.   The B-5 classification allows for a restaurant to sell and serve alcoholic liquors for on-site consumption as well as the package retail sale of alcoholic liquors for off-site consumption.  At its meeting on April 25, 2017, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that Cooper’s Hawk met all of the applicable proposed requirements for the issuance of a B-5 license and recommended that the license be issued by the Local Liquor Control Commissioner.   Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include Cooper’s Hawk as a B-5 licensee.
