Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview

Overview

Due to unforeseen circumstances during construction, additional work was required as part of the 2016 Resurfacing of Various Streets project.  The various change orders amount to an increase of $68,687.00.  The change order adjusts the contract with Crowley Sheppard Asphalt, Inc. from the previously authorized amount of $951,317.68 to $1,020,004.68.

Fiscal Impact

Funds are available in the 2017 Capital Improvement Fund for Local Street Construction account no. 3095-43780-101-570951 to cover this work as a result of a Budget Amendment approved by the Village Board carrying forward funds from 2016.

 

Background

The additional work consisted primarily of full roadway base replacement of various streets that was not anticipated.

The Board can delay action to gain additional information.

 

Previous Board Action

On April 18, 2016 the Village Board awarded a contract to Crowley Sheppard Asphalt, Inc., for Project 16-2, 2016 Resurfacing of Various Streets in an amount not to exceed $951,317.68.

 

On April 17, 2017 the Village Board approved a budget amendment to carry-forward $252,959 of 2016 local resurfacing funds for project 16-15.
