Overview

Overview

Hospitality Services Group LLC (“HSP”) seeks the issuance of a Park District of Oak Park and Oak Park Public Library Class D-8 liquor license which would allow HSP to act as a caterer and sell or serve alcoholic liquors for consumption in buildings owned or leased by the Park District and the Library or on the grounds of Cheney Mansion.

Body

Staff Recommendation

Adopt the Ordinance.

Potential increase in alcoholic liquor dealer’s tax.

Background

HSP seeks the issuance of a Class D-8 liquor license as set forth above.  At its meeting on June 27, 2017, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that HSP met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a Class D-8 license and recommended that the license be issued by the Local Liquor Control Commissioner.  Prior the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include HSP as a D-8 licensee.
