Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
Overview
An MOU has been prepared to outline the understanding of the Village and School District 97 (D97) for transfer of vacated Village Right-of-Way to D97 adjacent to Holmes School and the relocation of public and private utilites from the site by D97 to allow for construction of a school addition.

The land would be transferred for free from the Village to D97. D97 would fund the cost of utility relocations.

Background
On February 21, 2017 the Village Board approved a Right of Entry Agreement which allows D97 to do soil testing on the proposed site. On May 22, 2017, the Village Board approved a motion supporting D97's plans for an addition on the Holmes School. On June 8 and June 22, 2017, D97 conducted soil borings and the Village was provided results on July 18 and 20, 2017. The MOU would be succeeded by an intergovernmental agreement.

Alternatives
The Board could defer approval and seek additional information.

Previous Board Action
On February 21, 2017, the Village approved a Right of Entry Agremeent for the District to conduct soil borings on the site in the event they select to expand on that side of the building.

Anticipated Future Actions/Commitments
Once the District decides if they want to expand on the site that is Village-owned property (or not), the Village would need to enter into an agreement to lease or provide an easement for the Village-owned portion of the land.
