Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
Overview
The Department of Public Works is responsible for street weeping Village streets throughout the community, including main streets and those in the business districts. To assist in this effort, a contractor is utilized. Waste Management performed this work last year and this would renew the agreement for one year.

Fiscal Impact
In the FY 2017 Street Services budget, there is $130,000.00 to perform street sweeping services in the General Contractuals account no., 1001-43740-761-530660. Proposed in the FY 2018 budget will be $135,000.00 for these services. The FY 2017 budget provides sufficient funds for this work for the remainder of the fiscal year. To date, $78,302.00 has been spent in FY 2017. This agreement overlaps two fiscal years.

Per the terms of the initial agreement, the contractor may request an increase for their services in an amount no greater that the latest published Consumer Price Index (CPI), not to exceed 5%. As shown on the attachment, the latest CPI was 1%.

Background
The Village is responsible for maintaining approximately 250 lane miles which includes the sweeping of main arterials and residential streets as well as the twelve separate Business District areas.

Competitive bids were opened in July, 2016 in response to a call for bids for 2016 - 2017 Village Wide Street Sweeping Services. Four bids were received. The low responsible bid was submitted by Waste Management,Inc. The Village entered into an agreement with Waste Management for these services and the agreement expires August 31, 2017.
