Fiscal Impact
The costs for this Project are included in the FY2017 budget in the Capital Improvement Fund, Public Works Department, Engineering, for Alley Improvements account no. 3095-43780-101-570964 which has available funds for this work.

Background
Edwin Hancock Engineering has done an excellent job in designing and managing the alley projects the last three years. In March of this year the Village extended the term of the agreement with Edwin Hancock Engineering to include the design and management of the 2018 and 2019 alley improvement projects.

The recommended FY2018 budget for alley improvements provides $2,700,000 of Capital Improvement Funds, an additional $166,000 of CDBG funds for alley improvements, and an additional $50,000 of CIP funds for alley pavement patching which will fund the installation of approximately 24 alley segments based on 2017 pricing. A map of the proposed location for the 2018 alley projects is attached.
