Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview

The Engineering Division requested proposals for topographic surveying for the 2018 capital improvement program.  The Village received seventeen proposals for this work.  Staff is seeking authorization from the lowest most responsive bidder.

Fiscal Impact

The FY 2017 Budget includes $40,000 for Local Street Improvement Surveying in the Capital Improvement Fund, Public Works-Engineering, Project Engineering, account no. 3095-43780-101-570706 to fund this work.

 

Background

The proposed survey work is needed in order prepare detailed engineering design for the 2018 local street resurfacing projects and the water and sewer improvement projects as part of the annual capital improvements.   The scope of the work under this contract includes the full topographic surveys as well as provides locations and depths of underground utilities.   The results of the survey are used as the base for all engineering designs of the various projects.
