Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
Overview
An Intergovernmental Agreement has been prepared between the Village and School District 97 (D97) for the transfer of vacated Village Right-of-Way to D97 adjacent to Holmes School and the relocation of public and private utilites from the site by D97 to allow for construction of a school addition.

Fiscal Impact
The land would be transferred for free from the Village to D97. D97 would fund the cost of utility relocations with the Village providing $40,000 to D97 to relocate the Village's water main.

Background
On February 21, 2017 the Village Board approved a Right of Entry Agreement which allows D97 to do soil testing on the proposed site. On May 22, 2017, the Village Board approved a motion supporting D97's plans for an addition on the Holmes School. On June 8 and June 22, 2017, D97 conducted soil borings and the Village was provided results on July 18 and 20, 2017. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was approved by the Board on August 7, 2017 which required that the parties enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the project.

Alternatives
The Board could defer approval and seek additional information.

Previous Board Action
On February 21, 2017, the Village approved a Right of Entry Agremeent for the District to conduct soil borings on the site in the event they select to expand on that side of the building.

On August 7, 2017 a MOU was approved by the Board.
