Background
Special Service Area Seven was created by Village Ordinance on July 7, 2014, and provides
for a special annual tax levy on properties located within the area. The taxes are collected
by the Cook County Collector and remitted to the Village. The Finance Department then
utilizes the levy proceeds to offset the cost of construction of the diverters.
