Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

At the last regular Board meeting, it was requested that an ordinance be drafted to amend Chapter 8 ("Business Licensing"), Article 38 ("Massage Establishments and Massage Services") of the Village Code to remove certain requirements as set forth in the draft ordiance.

Background
The Village Board, at their Jaunary 1, 2018 regular meeting, adopted a new Chapter 8, Article 38 ("Massage Establishments and Massage Services") of the Oak Park Village Code. At the Village Boards June 18, 2018 meeting, representatives from the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) presented a list of suggested adjustments to the Village's regulatory ordinance. Mayor Abu-Taleb instructed staff to review the AMTA's suggested adjustments to Article 38 and to bring back an amended Ordinance, including whatever changes staff felt were appropriate, in an effort to clarify and simplify the Village code.

A brief summary of the most significant recommended ordinance amendments includes the following clarifications and simplifications: 1.) Fingerprinting of licensee applicants will no longer be required unless the owner of the business establishment is not a State of Illinois licensed massage therapist; 2.) Licensee applicants will be required to provide the Village with a list of services, and corresponding prices, as a part of their application and/or renewal but will no longer be required to post on site; 3.) Licensee's will no longer be required to keep a written record, for Village inspection, of clients and services provided to said client; 4.)
