Body

Report

At the November 21, 2017 Village Board meeting, the Village Board approved a Professional Services Agreement with Dixon Resources Unlimited to Review Requirements for a Unified Parking, Permits, Citations Technology System and Develop a Request for Proposal. Staff is providing the Village Board with an update in the selection process. Staff observed a number of vendor demos and attended a number of parking exhibitions. Nine proposals were submitted to the Village of Oak Park.

At the July 23, 2018 Village Board meeting, staff will bring a recommendation to award Passport Parking the contract. Passport Parking’s ability to provide a private-label app which users can use to fulfill all parking needs they have in the Village (i.e. pay citations), in addition to Passport Parking’s on-street meter payment capabilities are two examples of distinguishing factors in staff’s recommendation to proceed with Passport Parking.

Alternatives

Staff does not recommend any changes at this time.
