Overview
The Village Board created the Taxing Bodies Efficiency Task Force on February 20, 2018 with a dissolution date of August 20, 2018. The Task Force has requested the Village Board approve an extension through September 30, 2018 to allow for completion of their final findings and recommendations.

Fiscal Impact
The extension of the Task Force through September 30, 2018 will require moderate administrative staff support.
Background
The Task Force has held eleven meetings since it was formed and it is anticipated that two additional meetings will be held in September, if the Village Board approves the extension. The purpose of the request of the Task Force is to allow for the Task Force to meet to conclude final report preparation prior to its submission to the Village Board.

The Village Board could seek additional information.
Previous Board Action
The Village Board adopted its 2018-2019 Board Goals on February 5, 2018 pursuant to Resolution Number 18-781 and one of its goals is “Financial and Fiscal Responsibility” and within that “Collaboration” under which is the objective to establish a task force by February 20, 2018 to evaluate redundancies amongst all local taxing bodies.
