Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. Overview
Overview
The Vilage and the International Association of Machinists (IAM), Local 701, representing eight automotive service technicians and associated positions, have reached a tentative agreement for a successor labor contract. The duration of this agreement is for three and a half years, beginning on January 1, 2019, and expiring on June 30, 2022. There is also a Memorandum of Understanding reached between the parties and is attached for approval also.

Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends the Village Board approve Resolution 16-086 and authorize the Village Manager to execute the collective bargaining agreement between the Village of Oak Park and the Union.

Fiscal Impact
There is a provision for a 2.5% general wage increase for each year of the three-year agreement. The Village also negotiatied moving the expiration of this contract from a December 31st expiration to a June 30th expiration therefore, the agreement reflects a 0% general wage increase for the period January 1, 2022-June 30, 2022 until such time a successor agreement will be negotiated effective July 1, 2022 and salaries will be retroactive to January 1, 2022. The salaries and benefits for the employees covered by this agreement are funded within the Fleet Services Division of the Public Works Department.

Background
The current agreement expired on December 31, 2018. There is also a Memorandum of Understanding reached between the parties for certain issues not specified in the contract.
