Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The Village Board is required pursuant to Section 2.06(d) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (“Act“), 5 ILCS 120/2.06(d), to conduct a semi-annual review of its executive session minutes and make a determination regarding the release of minutes.

Background

As required by the Act, the Village Clerk keeps written minutes of all executive sessions.  The Board determined in executive sessions held on November 5, 2018, November 19, 2018 and February 4, 2019 that portions of its executive session minutes no longer require confidential treatment and shall be made available for public inspection.  The proposed Resolution memorializes the Board’s determination as required by the Act and authorizes the Village Clerk to release the minutes set forth in the Resolution.
