Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
This item will allow the Village to enter into an Interlocal Contract (ILC) with the Houston-Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Program to take advantage of volume purchasing pricing for various equipment, vehicles and supplies.

Fiscal Impact
There is no annual membership dues required to purchase thru HGACBuy, however there is a nominal administrative fee for each purchase.

Background
The H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program assists local governments in reducing costs through this government-to-government procurement service available nationwide. This program is available to local government entities and qualifying non-profit corporation.

One of the purchases the Village is considering by joining this program is for the purchase of Fire Apparatus which is scheduled for replacement in FY2019.

Several area municipalities are members of this organization, including Berwyn, Evanston, Lake Forest, Naperville, Downers Grove, and Oak Brook.

To become a member you must be a government agency, municipality, state agency, etc. and possess the legal authority to enter into the contract.

The Board can delay action to gain additional information.
