Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Fiscal Impact
The FY2019 General Fund Budget, Street Services, provides $125,000.00 to perform refuse/recycling container pick up in the General Contractuals account no. 1001-43740-761-530660. In addition, in the Parking fund, $3,000.00 will be charged for weekly collection of refuse in the parking structures, in account nos. 5060-43770-(784 or 788) -530660.

The latest bid received for this work was for $190,555.60. If this work was performed by adding one FTE in the Public Works Street Division the cost is estimated to cost $149,301.90.

Actual contract costs for this work for the last five years has been: 2018 - $112,211; 2017 - $109,114; 2016 - $121,587; 2015 - $121,385; 2014 - $121,753; Average $117,209.98

Background
The Village is responsible for maintaining approximately 300 refuse and recycling containers throughout the Village. Many are within the twelve separate Business District areas which require regular refuse and recycling container pick up.
