Background
In May, vehicle license renewal notices were sent to approximately twenty-five thousand (25,000) current village vehicle license holders with instructions on how to renew using the new Permits Portal, powered by Passport Labs. As of mid-day Thursday, June 6, 2019, at least 3500 licenses have been renewed successfully. Attached is a memo detailing issues staff is aware of to date and actions taken.
On September 4, 2019 the Village Board authorized the contractual services agreement with Passport Labs, Inc to provide a new software solution for a unified parking citation and permit management system and processing technology for all Village parking permitting, parking passes, vehicle sticker licensing, mobile parking payment, enforcement, and adjudication services.
