Overview

On June 17, 2019 the Village Board approved a change order to the Village Hall Parking Lot Improvements which also included the direction to bring back a revised contract with the consulting engineering firm on the project, which is this agenda item.  In March of 2019 the Village of Oak Park entered into an agreement with Clark Dietz, Inc., to provide construction engineering services for the 18-16 Village Hall Parking Lot Improvements project. Fiscal Impact

In the FY2019 budget there are available funds in the Capital Improvement Fund, Capital Projects, External Support account no. 3095-43780-101-530667.

Background

A change order to the construction contract for Project 18-16, Village Hall Parking Lot Improvements was approved by the Village Board on June 17, 2019 due to unforeseen issues and additional scope that was requested by staff during construction.  The change order to the construction contract was needed due to additional work related to patching the underground parking garage, additional waterproofing membrane work on the underground parking garage, additional irrigation work, and additional quantities for various items such as asphalt, curb and sidewalk replacement.

This delay in construction schedule and additional scope added will require additional construction engineering hours in order to complete the project.
