The Community Relations Commissions is proposing the Village create a new small grant program to advance the goal to ensure good human, race and community relations. Attached is a copy of the proposal.

The Community Relations Commission is proposing to utilize the $2,000 they requested in their 2019 Work Plan (attached) for the project listed under p. 2 of the work plan, noted as, “Partner with groups presenting community programming involving issues related to diversity, equity, and community services”.
Background
The Community Relations Commission is proposing to create an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Small Grant Program. If the Village Board directs, staff will create the program guidelines for Village Board adoption at a subsequent meeting.
