Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The Development Customer Services Department Parking & Mobility Services Division has various items that can be sold as surplus because they are no longer useful to the Village. The items will be sold at auction, traded in, donated or sold and/or disposed of as scrap.

Fiscal Impact
No fiscal impact to Village. The identified surplus items have limited revenue opportunities for selling and the cost of removing and transferring the goods would supersede the scraping value of the items. Village staff has identified a business that will absorb the cost of removing the surplus items in trade for the value of scraping the items.

Background
In accordance with Village policy and State law (65 ILCS 5/11-76-4), the Village may, by Ordinance, authorize the disposition of designated personal surplus property in order to dispose of items no longer usable to the Village. Because the identified surplus items have limited revenue opportunities for selling and the cost of removing and transferring the items would supersede their scraping value, Village staff has identified a business that will absorb the cost of removing said surplus items in trade for the value achieved by said company in scraping the items. The items brought forth in the recommended ordinance have little to no resale value due to their condition or they have reached their useful life. The items identified for surplus include the following: Old, unusable parking meter poles; Old, unusable parking meter casings; Old, unusable rusted and bent parking sign posts; Unusable, faded and bent parking signs; and old, unusable grid type parking signs.
