Recommendation

Recommendation

Approve the Ordinance.

Fiscal Impact

For all items, the owner is unknown and have gone unclaimed for 90 days or longer.  Propertyroom.com picks up, lists, and manages the inventory in exchange for 50% of the winning bid.

The Village does have a bike registration, however these bike listed were not registered.

Background

In accordance with Village policy and State Statute 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4, the Village’s corporate authorities may, by Ordinance, authorize disposal of property they may designate in order to dispose of surplus property not usable to the Village.  The Village, through the Police Department, submits the items listed in the attachment to the Ordinance to be declared as surplus.
