Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The Village is a member of the West Cook County Solid Waste Agency (WCCSWA).  The Agency is requesting all of its members update the Villages appointments to the Agency Board.

Background

Formed in 1989, West Cook County Solid Waste Agency plans for the responsible management of solid waste in west Cook County, Illinois.  The goal of the Agency and its members is to help residents and businesses in west Cook County to recycle and manage their garbage in an environmentally sound and cost-effective manner.

 

WCCSWA provides recycling and waste disposal programs and technical assistance to 36 member communities in the west Cook County region.  The WCCSWA targets residents, local businesses, schools, and municipal governments.  The Village has been a member since the agency was formed.

 

The agency has requested that each member community update their appointments to the Agency Board.  The Village’s appointment as Director to the Agency Board is proposed to be the Village President.  The Alternate Directors proposed are the Village Manager then the Public Works Director.

 

The Public Works Director is currently attending the agency meetings on the Village’s behalf.
