Overview
As a result of recent vehicle accidents damaging critical traffic signal equipment the 2019 agreement with Meade, Inc. for Emergency Street Lighting and Traffic Control Repairs needs to be amended to cover the cost of those repairs. This would be the second amendment as the Village Board amended the agreement on December 2, 2019. This amendment increases the agreement from $39,000.00 to $49,685.22.

Fiscal Impact
The Fiscal Year 2019 Public Works Street Lighting budget provides $55,000.00 for Emergency Repairs in the Street lighting Budget, General Contractuals, accounts no. 1001-43720-751-530660 ($45,000.00) for street lighting repairs, and 1001-43720-752-530660 ($10,000.00) for traffic signal repairs.

Throughout the year, funds are added to this account from receipts from insurance companies of those who damaged the traffic signals or street lights. As a result, at the end of Fiscal Year 2019, $3,750.32 of unencumbered funds is available in the traffic signal contractual repairs account and $8,073.36 is available in the street lighting contractual repairs accounts for a total of $11,823.68. Only $10,685.22 is needed to cover the requested 2nd amendment to Meade's agreement.
