Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. Fiscal Impact
The Fiscal Year 2020 CIP Building Improvement Fund Budget includes a total of $40,000.00 in account no. 3012-43790-101-540673 for replacement of the ADA Chair Lift at the Village Hall main entrance.

If approved, the total contract cost with Garaventa would not exceed $38,274.60 ($36,452.00 bid price plus a 5% contingency [$1,822.60] for unforeseen conditions).

Background
The existing ADA Chair Lift at the Village Hall main entrance is inoperable and antiquated. Repair parts have become very difficult to locate or acquire, and staff was unsuccessful in getting the unit repaired despite several attempts going back to 2017. Staff met with the Disability Access Commission (DAC) in February of 2019 to review Village Hall accessibility. The DAC recommended that in lieu of installing a new elevator at the south entrance to Village Hall that staff proceeded with seeking bids for the replacement of the wheelchair lift.

The Public Works Department issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) on September 25, 2019 for the replacement of the wheelchair lift at Village Hall. The ITB was advertised in the Wednesday Journal and on the Village web page. Staff also sent the ITB to several elevator/lift companies, including Total Elevator Service, RAE Lifts, KONE, Dolphin Stair Lifts and Anderson Elevator.
