The Village Board is required pursuant to Section 2.06(d) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (“Act“), 5 ILCS 120/2.06(d), to conduct a semi-annual review of its executive session minutes and make a determination regarding the release of minutes.

Background
As required by the Act, the Village Clerk keeps written minutes of all executive sessions. The Board determined in executive sessions held on January 13, 2020, January 27, 2020 and March 2, 2020 that portions of its executive session minutes no longer require confidential treatment and shall be made available for public inspection. The proposed Resolution memorializes the Board’s determination as required by the Act and authorizes the Village Clerk to release the minutes set forth in the Resolution.
