Fiscal Impact
On July 8, 2020, the Village Manager approved an agreement with Gino's Heating and Plumbing for $15,000.00. The Fiscal Year 2020 budget includes $35,000.00 in the Water Supply External Support Fund (5040.43730.777.536667) for the Valve Turning Program that is unencumbered.

Background
The Village maintains multiple contracts with plumbers each year to assist with emergency water and sewer repairs. Work is assigned to contractors when the operational needs of the repair exceed the Village's capacity in terms of equipment or personnel. The use of contractors in Fiscal Year 2020 has exceeded staff estimates to date. Staff recommends increasing the not to exceed amount of Gino's Heating and Plumbing from $15,000 to $30,000 to insure there is adequate coverage in case of operational need. Unencumbered funds are available in the same external support line allocated for Valve Turning. Staff recommends reassigning these funds to emergency repairs as it represents a higher priority than valve turning at this time.
