Background

The Sushi House at 1107 Lake Street has been in operation for 13 years and is currently owned by Sushi House Six, Ltd.  It has a Class B-1 liquor license.  Sushi House Six, Ltd. is selling the Sushi House to its current manager who has formed Sushi House Oak Park LLC.  This ordinance allows the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license to the new owner

At its special meeting of November 10, 2020, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that Sushi House Oak Park LLC  met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-1 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued.   Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include the new entity as a B-1 licensee.
