Fiscal Impact

The FY 2021 Budget allocated for a total of $156,000 for police mobile computer equipment replacement (account # 3029.41300.906.570720 & 2024.42480.101.452485) and funding is available in these accounts for the requested equipment.

Background

In the FY21 Adopted Budget, Equipment Replacement in the Capital Fund, funds were appropriated pursuant to a request from the IT Department to replace outdated mobile camera equipment currently in use by the Police department. The current equipment was purchased between 2008-2010 and is no longer under warranty. The equipment is being phased out to meet current technology standards and to support the day-to-day operations of Police personnel and public safety.
