This item is not directly related to additional funding. This is specific to work hours.
Background
In the past, the Village has entered into similar agreements when the Union and Village wish to experiment with alternate work schedules aside from the contract terms. Last year the Union and the Village agreed to a 10-hour work schedule.
Alternatives
The Village Board could seek additional information, however, the timing of this agreement is critical in that there are other operational matters that need to follow this agreement during the fall prior to implementation.
