Overview

Overview

The initial term of this contract was one (1) year with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year term (2022). This is a sole source contract, since Revcon is the only Illinois dealer and servicer of the TIBA system. Timely service and maintenance to the equipment is necessary to ensure a convenient, reliable parking experience for residents of and visitors to Oak Park.

Fiscal Impact

It should be noted that the Lake and Forest parking structure access and revenue control system is also serviced and maintained by Revcon. That service agreement is separately administered and invoiced by the Village’s third-party facility operator, SP Plus. The Recommended FY 2022 Budget includes the following for contracted services for the service and maintenance of the parking access and revenue control systems at Holley Court and The Avenue parking garages:

5060.43770.788.530660 (Holley Court General Contractuals) = $45,900

5060.43770.784.530660 (The Avenue General Contractuals)  = $35,400

5060.43770.788.540674 (Holley Court Property Repair) = $2,500

5060.43770.784.540674 (The Avenue Property Repair) = $2,500

Background

The Village contracts with Revon Technology Group, Inc. to furnish and install TIBA parking access and revenue control systems in its parking garages.  As the preferred vendor that was selected through the Village’s request for proposal process to provide gating, paystation, revenue control, intercoms, and license plate recognition (LPR) technology, Revcon  has also been the provider of service and maintenance as the sole regional supplier of the TIBA branded equipment.  Revcon Technology Group, Inc. has been a responsible vendor in providing these services since selected through the Village’s request for proposal process for multiple project phases over recent years.

To ensure continued normal operation of the TIBA equipment, it is recommended that the vendor Revcon Technology Group, Inc. continues to be the provider of reliable service and maintenance of this equipment for the Village’s Holley Court and The Avenue parking garages.
