Background

Fire department personnel have a list of clothing/uniform items that they order, as needed and approved, during the fiscal year. These items are ordered intermittently as the year progresses and the total amount spent with this vendor will exceed $25,000, requiring Board approval.

Bids were requested for this work and posted on the Village Web Site. A total of 2 bids were received. After reviewing the proposals staff finds it most advantageous to enter into an agreement with On-Time Embroidery. On-Time presented with the most complete bid with the lowest prices overall.

We have a positive history over the last several years working with this company. They have consistently provided us with the lowest overall per item costs as well as excellent customer service. They also provide us with quality items that are consistent which allows us to maintain our uniform standards. They have a brick and mortar sizing center and an online store customized for the OPFD with individual log-ins for ease of use.
