Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The BVP reimburses 50% of the vest cost. The FY 22 budget included the 50% match in account 1001.42400.101.560625.

 

Background

Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP), created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998 is a unique U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law enforcement. The Police Department purchases vests for new officers and replaces vests every five years. The Police Department is applying for 22 vests equaling a funding total of $7,500.
