Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

At the March 22, 2021 Board meeting, the Village Board committed to a grant of $400,00 to the Park District of Oak Park for the Park District’s Community Recreation Center Project which is currently under construction at 229 Madison Street.  The Funding Grant Agreement accompanying the Resolution formalizes the terms of the grant and authorizes its payment.

Fiscal Impact

The grant will be paid from account number 2310.41020.101.570851 which is a line item in the Sustainability Fund for sustainable Village of Oak Park projects.

 

Background

The Board adopted a motion at its March 22, 2021 committing to a grant of $400,000 to the Park District of Oak Park for the Park District’s Community Recreation Center Project (“Project”) which is currently under construction at 229 Madison Street.  Per the motion, the grant was contingent on the Park District funding under a “Net Zero Energy Building Grant” from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation in the amount of $1,780,000 for the Project and the Agreement memorializes this requirement.  The Park District has since been awarded the grant.
