Background

The proposed ordinance was presented to the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) at the LCRB’s April 25, 2022 special meeting at the request of the L’Alberello, Inc., DBA Anfora (“Anfora”).  Anfora is the Village’s sole Class C-8 liquor licensee and it is located at 128 S. Marion Street.  A Class C-8 licensee is permitted to sell wine by the package and serve wine by the glass for on-site consumption.

Anfora seeks the removal of the restriction prohibiting outdoor seating where wine can be served for on-site consumption and that it be allowed to sell bottles of wine that are twelve (12) ounces more.  The LCRB voted to unanimously recommend that the ordinance be adopted by the Village Board.
