Background
Spilt Milk seeks the creation of a new Bakeshop Class D-17 liquor license and the issuance of such a license for the property located at 811 South Boulevard. The Village Code currently contains a Work Lounge Class D-17 liquor license and the Village's sole holder of a Class D-17 license, Venture 1212 LLC, DBA Mojo Oak Park, ceased operations and its license was deleted from the Code pursuant to Ordinance 22-20 adopted by the Village Board on March 21, 2022.
Spilt Milk has been in operation in the Village for several years and has held a Package C-2 liquor license since April 2021. A C-2 license allows Spilt Milk to sell at retail beer and wine only in the original package. Spilt Milk now seeks to expand its offerings to include the sale of beer and wine for on-site consumption. The proposed ordinance would allow this expansion with certain conditions, which...
